Whit Monday 2008 : Monegasque penitents at the Canonica
For the feast of Saint Devote in Lucciana on Whit Monday, May 12, 2008, a group of penitents from the Venerable Arch brotherhood of Mercy of the Principality of Monaco went to the Corsican Island to follow in the Saint's footsteps.
Nepiticcia : a little grotto where Devote went to hide and pray
Pursued and chased by the Romans (who wanted to annihilate Christianity in Corsica) Devote, who never denied her faith, regularly went up to the Mount Nepiticcia to take refuge and pray.
Canonica : a statue of Saint Devote offered by Prince Rainier III
On June 9, 2003, during his visit in Corsica on Devote's martyrdom 1700th anniversary, Prince Rainier III offered the Corsican a statue of Saint Devote, which is now situated in the Cathedral of the Canonica.
